retention periods expire (e.g., 10 years for transaction data), the data will be deleted. If you terminate your
account, all your personal data will be permanently deleted.

access. Data transmission is encrypted (SSL/TLS), and our servers are located exclusively within the EU.

The processing of merchant data is carried out solely for the purpose of fulfilling the contractual relationship and providing access to the ePOINT Merchant App. This includes, in particular: - Setting up and managing the merchant account - Processing transactions and commission payments - Communication with the merchant (e.g., support requests, technical updates) - Providing marketing materials and training documentation - Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., tax record keeping)
§ 3 Legal Basis
The data is processed in accordance with Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR as it is necessary for the performance of the contract between ePOINT GmbH and the merchant. Processing may also be carried out to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6 (1)(c) GDPR).
§ 4 Data Sharing with Third Parties
Personal data of merchants will only be shared to the extent necessary for the performance of the contract. Potential recipients include, in particular: - Payment service providers and banks (for commission payouts) - Tax consultants and accounting service providers - IT service providers for app operation - Sales partners acting on behalf of ePOINT GmbH (e.g., BestPrime GmbH) Data will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes without the express consent of the merchant.
§ 5 Data Retention
Merchant data will only be stored for as long as necessary to fulfill the contract and comply with legal
record-keeping requirements. After termination of the contractual relationship, the data will be deleted unless legal retention periods apply (typically 10 years under commercial and tax law).
